People often take care of their bodies, face, and hair more than they care for their feet. Feet play a major role in your bodies overall health, though. Without our feet we would not be able to perform most daily tasks. The foot is complex, containing 26 bones (nearly a quarter of all bones in the body), 33 joints, and a network of more than 100 tendons, muscles, and ligaments, and many more blood vessels and nerves.

This may account for why foot ailments are among the most common of our health problems. Studies show that 75% of Americans experience foot problems in their lives, yet very few seek necessary medical treatment. After an auto accident, many drivers complain of feet jamming into brake or gas peddles and knees into the dashboard. Work related injuries such as crushing, sprains, strains, fractures and injuries to the foot, ankle, and heel can leave you unable to perform basic daily tasks.

Don't tiptoe around the importance of your feet. When your feet hurt, it can affect many aspects of your life.
